Week 5 - Assignment

Audience-Centered Presentation Plan and Reflection

Assignment

Your portfolio: Interpersonal Communication Portfolio

Design a concise presentation that gives a workplace audience the evidence and confidence needed to act.

Your task

Plan a 6-8 minute presentation recommending an improvement to a communication or service handoff process.

What to submit

  • A presentation storyboard or slide deck outline of 6-8 slides
  • A presenter script or speaker notes for the full talk
  • A visual accessibility and evidence checklist
  • A 250-word reflection describing revisions made after rehearsal or peer feedback

How to complete it

  1. Define the audience, decision or action, constraints, and success signal.
  2. Sequence the presentation from situation and evidence to recommendation, implications, and next step.
  3. Draft visuals with hierarchy, concise labels, accessible contrast, and spoken descriptions.
  4. Rehearse, collect feedback, revise the plan, and explain the changes in the reflection.

Check your work

  • The presentation has one clear purpose and a visible audience action.
  • Evidence is relevant, explained, and connected to the recommendation.
  • Visuals and delivery choices support accessibility and comprehension.
  • The reflection uses feedback to explain specific improvements.
